I've been searching for a way to use Android apps on Steam Deck for literal months now and have come across many posts and suggestions. First, I tried running an Android x86 VM in Gnome Boxes. It worked fine but its a bit slow and fiddly to set up but it works fine. Next, I tried Waydroid and gave up installing it.Yes, absolutely. The only thing is you'll need to have the backups for the games, so you'll need to make them on the Deck, or on your phone and transfer them to the Deck. Totally doable, but if you don't have a mouse and/or keyboard you'll be relying on the on-screen keyboard and the touchpad/joystick mouse.

At launch, getting emulators, the Epic Games Store, and Xbox Game Pass to run on the Steam Deck through Linux took me hours. Now, user-made tools have turned these barriers into minor speed bumps.Based on my experience, I'm guessing you've got the deck hooked up to a 4k display and are using the steam os mode to launch games. If so, retroarch is running in 4k and all your cores are going to run slow. If you go to desktop mode and set your display resolution to 1080p and launch the games from desktop mode, I bet you'll have better results.For all the games below I used the recommended config settings from RPCS3 for each individual game. Games that didn't have recommended config settings I didn't touch at all and just stuck with the default config settings. FINALLY onto the games: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand : Works great. I put my .nsp games in the Roms/switch folder and installed my updates through yuzu. I use emulationstation and they showed up there. BOTW doesn’t run well on the deck. Switch emulation in general is very hit or miss. Wasn't necessarily blaming the emu, just emphasizing that it is a very hard game to emulate in general, so we shouldn't use it as a prime example of emulation performance on the Steam Deck. There are plenty of games that will perform better than Jak 2 on emu.
