Last week I received my Franklin Armory binary trigger, and got it installed in my 10/22. A lot of people are reporting problems, with the install, so I wanted to share my experience. I used the two youtube videos that everyone seems to be using. They were mostly helpful, although there are some gaps where they don't show things clearly enough. Keep in mind my sample size of one 9mm subgun isn’t a big one, but I ran into one issue with the FS1913 polymer model. When testing some of the SIG SAUER 124-grain +P M17 ammunition through the PC Charger the brace unlocked itself three times in 50 rounds. The trigger groups are very similar and the installation process is pretty much the same. I had trouble with a couple of things, but the hardest part for me was installing the selector switch spring and detent. And i think I had a little trouble with the trigger return spring in the finger guard. First is the horrible 6 lb. trigger pull. The problem isn't the weight of the trigger, but how it breaks. It's like trying to smash down a brick wall. It's not clean or crisp or tactile. I don't mind a heavy trigger pull but there's no engagement/feel of the trigger.
