Nov 19, 2020 · The Courtesy Lamps, like almost every other light in the F150, are controlled by the BCM (Body Control Module). The BCM monitor such things as the door ajar switches. The switches usually ground the circuit, which signals the BCM that a door has opened. The BCM then turns the Courtesy Lamps on. I have 2 related problems.....my "door ajar" warning lite stays on.....and my dome lite sometimes stays on. I know people in this group have had success with lubing the switches.
